Memories and dreams for summer
This week payment was processed for a Legacy Bench in honor of Molly Rodway in Wilshire Park, in NE Portland. I basically grew up in this park, we lived half a block from it and visited almost daily for two decades. In Molly's last years of life, we visited this park every week. Somehow every time I picked her up from her memory care facility, the skies would clear and the sun would peek out, even all winter long this happened, each time we arrived at the park to walk. And we would sit at the bench on the walking path and she would exclaim, "It's a beautiful day!" It took me until last week to take down my Christmas tree this year. She was still alive when I put it up, and mom loved Christmas. So it was hard to take it down. When I did, I came across this little photo album of old Christmas photos, including some really sweet shots of mom, so I thought I would share them, here.
